The countdown is on

A whole night, not just midnight

RAK NYE is Ras Al Khaimah's free New Year’s Eve festival. It promises a full evening on the coast at Jais Festival Ground, complete with live performances, family fun and food trucks. At midnight, it’s eyes to the skies for the RAK NYE Sky Show, bringing together fireworks and drones over an open horizon set to a soundtrack made for the night.

Entry is free; registration is essential.

Explore the festival

From 4 PM, the festival fun begins, with two key zones offering something for everyone. Head to the Stage Zone for DJs, music and the countdown. The Family Zone has games, play areas and food all evening. Parade acts move between the two throughout the night.

The Stage Zone

The main stage sets the soundtrack for the night. Five DJs take turns, each with a different sound, and MC Parikshit keeps the crowd moving all the way to midnight. Meet them just below.

The Family Zone

There are over 25 activities for children and families, so younger guests have plenty to enjoy before the Sky Show.

  • Games: Giant chess, giant connect four, mini golf, football shooting and balloon darts.
  • For little ones: A soft play area and a giant floorboard game.
  • For everyone: A 360-video booth and the RAK NYE photo spot.

The Parade

The walking carnival comes alive at 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Watch the Warrior Squad’s Arabic dance, acrobats, jugglers, LED characters, roaming mascots and a pyro show as the parade passes between the zones.
